Nikki Berzin Has Been Named A MPA Elite Woman For 2023!

Mortgage Professional Australia recognises the Elite Women of 2023 as trailblazing female leaders who serve as influential role models in a field marked by declining female representation, which, at 25%, is the lowest proportion observed by the MFAA.

In this prestigious award, nominators were asked to describe the nominee’s standout professional achievements over the past 12 months, the initiatives and innovations, and contributions to the mortgage industry. They also had to be working in a role that related to, interacted with, or in some way impacted the industry and should have demonstrated a clear passion for their work.

There’s nobody more passionate than Nikki Berzin from Cherry Lending & Finance, who is set on not just helping her clients get a mortgage, but also in inspiring and empowering people to financial freedom.

When Nikki started her career as a mortgage broker, the number of women in the industry was shockingly low at around 10%. Nikki knew this job wasn’t gender-specific and felt motivated to change the narrative by focusing on delivering exceptional service to her clients.

In her business endeavours, giving back is a fundamental principle that she lives by. This is why Nikki is proud to have raised $2,200 for Safe Haven Community through an International Women’s Day event hosted by her other company, Girls Just Want To Have Fun. The creation of a space for professional women and female founders reflects her commitment to empowering women to achieve their full potential. Between her two companies, she is determined to help women attain financial freedom and personal motivation.

As an innovator and initiator, Nikki has identified a niche market where she can assist first home buyers and emergency service workers looking to buy. She understands that meeting the strict lending criteria from credit providers in Australia can be a challenge, which is why she has developed a valuable resource, the Emergency Service Worker Buying Guide, to help those in this industry navigate the process with ease.

She is more than just a woman in business. With a passion for finance, her vision is to educate and empower people from all walks of life to achieve their goals. Nikki believes that with the right mindset and tools, anything is possible, regardless of one’s background or circumstances.

Fun fact: Before working as a mortgage broker, Nikki worked as a firefighter where only 3% of women were employed in the industry.
