So, you’re ready to apply for a home loan for your dream home. Or maybe you’ve found a great investment property and need that loan pre-approval ASAP so you can secure it. No worries, I’m here to help. Are YOU prepared though???
It’s an exciting time and no doubt you will want to find out as quickly as possible if you’re eligible for that loan. Well, preparation is key.
Let’s get organised
Before I can start your loan application I need to find out some important information about you and your financial position. I will ask you to complete a Client Fact Find form. The types of areas covered on the form are:
- The basics – name, address, phone numbers, etc.
- Work – where do you currently work, how long have you been there for and what is your income
- Financials – assets, liabilities and living expenses
The other thing I will require from you is documentation. Before I press the SUBMIT button I need to include documentation that backs up your application. The types of documents I will require are:
- 100 points of ID
- Payslips or tax returns if you are self employed
- Bank statements
- Existing home loan statements
- Credit card statements
Note: the above are just examples and until I discover your personal situation this should be used as a guide only.
